As I promised, the rice pudding recipe! It was a really excellent rice pudding by itself - with the cinnamon and the vanilla bean and the brown sugar to give it flavor - but even better with the caramelized sugar on top and the chocolate chips in the middle. I think it's time for a cooking post! Lately I've been working on my bread making, both whole wheat bread and white breads. I'm not all that sure where Monday went! My back was really bothering me and I thought I would try being more aggressive in medicating it. Muscle relaxants and thinking do not go well together. Since it's fall here, it is time to make some fall harvest dinners. We have apples and leafy greens and winter squashes all at the farmer's market right now and here is a meal which uses them all. I consider the sausage to be optional in the bread pudding - if you don't use it this is a very satisfying vegetarian meal.
